Professor of Education

About the role

The University of Peshawar seeks a full‑time Professor of Education to join its Faculty of Education. This on‑site position involves teaching, research, curriculum development, and mentorship of undergraduate and graduate students.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in education and supervise classroom activities.
• Design, update, and improve curricula and instructional materials for higher‑education programs.
• Conduct and supervise research projects, publish scholarly work, and present at academic conferences.
• Mentor students on academic and professional development, including supervising theses and dissertations.
• Participate in departmental meetings, academic planning, and program development initiatives.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and external partners on research, community outreach, and institutional service.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in Education or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Proven excellence in teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Experience in curriculum development and instructional design for higher‑education programs.
• Established record of peer‑reviewed publications and participation in academic conferences.
• Demonstrated educational leadership through program coordination, committee work, or academic administration.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to mentor a diverse student body.
• Experience supervising postgraduate research, theses, or dissertations.
