Project Cost Estimator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Cost Estimator to join our construction services team. You will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, developing material lists, and supporting the execution of construction projects from inception to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Study project plans and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Use AutoCAD and specialized estimating software to calculate material quantities.
• Visit construction sites to verify proposal accuracy, capture photos, and record observations.
• Analyze historical data and market trends to improve estimating processes and reduce costs.
• Develop bid proposals, maintain quotation records, and prepare cost sheets.
• Create project execution plans, monitor timelines, and track construction progress.
• Coordinate meetings with clients, site managers, and internal staff to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Assist in selecting subcontractors, vendors, and labor to keep estimates on schedule.
• Conduct onsite investigations and adjust budgets as needed.
• Recommend cost‑saving measures in labor, materials, and assembly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, construction, or urban engineering or a related field.
• 5–6 years of experience in construction estimating.
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and tax procedures.
• Excellent communication, decision‑making, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to multiple sites.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Advanced use of MS Office, especially spreadsheet functions.
