Project Director - Embedded Systems

About the role

TeReSol (Private) Limited is looking for an experienced Project Director for embedded systems to lead complex electronics embedded systems projects from planning through execution and delivery. The role suits someone with strong technical expertise and proven project leadership who can manage multidisciplinary engineering teams while keeping quality, timelines and project objectives on track.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the full life cycle of embedded systems projects: planning, development, integration, testing and delivery.
• Develop project plans, budgets, timelines and resource allocation strategies.
• Provide technical leadership across embedded software, firmware, hardware integration and system architecture.
• Supervise teams working on microcontrollers, SoC platforms, embedded Linux, RTOS and C/C++.
• Oversee hardware-software co-design, PCB bring-up, peripheral interfacing, system integration and troubleshooting.
• Ensure deliverables meet technical specifications, quality standards and customer expectations.
• Manage project risks, resolve critical technical challenges and coordinate with management, clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor engineering managers and teams, and establish engineering processes, project management practices and development standards.
• Ensure technical documentation, configuration management, verification, validation and testing throughout the project.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in embedded systems development and engineering.
• Demonstrated experience leading major embedded projects and multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Proven track record of successful project delivery, technical problem solving and resource management.

Required skills

• Embedded systems architecture, firmware development and system integration.
• C/C++ and low-level embedded programming.
• ARM Cortex-M, AVR, PIC or similar microcontrollers and SoCs.
• Embedded Linux and RTOS platforms such as Free RTOS or Zephyr.
• Hardware-software co-design, device drivers and peripheral interfacing.
• Debugging tools such as GDB, JTAG, oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
