Project Manager (Client-Focused) - Fintech

About the role

Haball is looking for a client-focused Project Manager who bridges business needs and technical execution, builds strong client relationships and ensures the smooth, timely delivery of fintech solutions. The role covers everything from client communication and cross-functional coordination to managing project timelines, risks and Agile/Scrum sprints.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, keeping expectations clear and well managed.
• Translate client requirements into actionable project plans aligned with internal teams.
• Manage the full project lifecycle, ensuring on-time delivery within agreed scope and quality standards.
• Coordinate Development, QA and Business Analysis teams, and run client meetings, kick-offs, requirement discussions and progress reviews.
• Manage timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks and issues, and escalate concerns when needed.
• Work with banks, payment gateways and financial institutions on integrations and implementation.
• Apply Agile/Scrum methods to sprints, backlogs and continuous improvement.
• Maintain project documentation, track progress and report transparently to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure successful handover and client satisfaction.

Required profile

• 6+ years of project management experience in FinTech, Payments, Banking or Software Development.
• Proven client-facing project management and stakeholder engagement experience.
• Experience coordinating Developers, QA Engineers and Business Analysts.
• Familiarity with digital payments, financing solutions, banking integrations and the fintech ecosystem; experience with banks or payment gateways is an advantage.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master or similar certification is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and software development lifecycles.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Figma, Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, planning and problem-solving skills.
