Public Health Officer

About the role

The Public Health Officer will work from the District Programme Office in Diamer, addressing health sector challenges across Gilgit‑Baltistan and Chitral. This full‑time position involves planning, implementing and monitoring public health initiatives in partnership with local stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and analyse health sector challenges in the target districts.
• Design and deliver community sessions, trainings and stakeholder meetings.
• Coordinate implementation of public health programmes, ensuring gender‑sensitive approaches.
• Monitor programme outcomes and report findings to senior management.
• Uphold the organisation’s safeguarding policy in all activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Public Health or a related field.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience in the public or private health sector.
• Proficiency in English and Urdu.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Demonstrated gender sensitivity and commitment to safeguarding standards.
• Preference will be given to candidates residing in Diamer District.
