Recruitment Assistant

About the role

Dawn Recruiting is seeking a highly organized and proactive Recruitment Assistant to support its recruitment team in attracting, screening, and onboarding top talent. This entry‑level position offers a great foothold into HR and recruitment with growth opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Post job advertisements on job boards, career pages, and social media platforms.
• Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
• Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
• Maintain and update the applicant tracking system (ATS) and recruitment databases.
• Communicate with candidates about application status and next steps.
• Assist in drafting offer letters and onboarding documentation.
• Coordinate background checks and reference verifications.
• Support the recruitment team with administrative tasks and special projects.
• Attend job fairs and recruitment events as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
• Previous administrative or HR support experience is an asset.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluent in English and comfortable conducting telephone screening calls with candidates in Canada and the United States.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) is a plus.
