Sales Tax Officer

About the role

A.A Enterprises is looking for an experienced Sales Tax Officer in Lahore to oversee and manage all sales tax-related invoicing. The officer issues compliant sales tax bills, manages input/output tax reconciliations, helps file returns through portals such as FBR, and develops tax policies and strategies aligned with the company's objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Issue system-driven sales tax invoices with unique serial numbers, STRN, NTN and accurate GST.
• Manage and oversee the preparation and submission of accurate tax returns in line with tax laws and regulations.
• Match input tax against output tax to clear financial discrepancies.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and update policies accordingly.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on tax matters for senior management.
• Ensure all tax filings and payments are completed on time to avoid penalties and interest.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Familiarity with the Sales Tax Act 1990 and related provincial revenue laws.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to spot risks and opportunities in the tax framework.
• Up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
• Effective communication skills.
