Security Operations Engineer

About the role

The client seeks experienced security operations professionals to provide 24x7 L1, L2 and L3/L4 support for its infrastructure security platforms. The team will ensure uninterrupted service, rapid BAU request handling, and proactive maintenance while adhering to strict governance and ITSM processes.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and troubleshoot firewall policies and ACLs.
• Manage WAF, IPS, and Guardium solutions.
• Administer VPN, MFA, and token services.
• Perform website and proxy whitelisting and block indicators of compromise.
• Handle endpoint security tools (AV, EDR, DLP) and security mailbox monitoring.
• Provide configuration management, audit evidence, and compliance support.
• Participate in disaster‑recovery drills and root‑cause analysis.
• Develop SOPs, conduct device hardening and vulnerability remediation.
• Produce accurate MIS reports on ticket volumes, BAU metrics, and preventive maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or related field.
• Proven experience in L1‑L4 security operations within a 24x7 environment.
• Ability to work shift‑based coverage and provide on‑call support.
• Strong understanding of governance, compliance and ITSM processes.
