SecOps Security Engineer (L2/L3) – Network & Security Operations

About the role

NorthBay Solutions is seeking an experienced SecOps Security Engineer (L2/L3) to join its 24x7 Security Operations team. The role focuses on protecting enterprise networks and endpoints using leading‑edge security technologies and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, configure and troubleshoot Check Point, Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls.
• Implement and review firewall policies, ACLs, NAT rules and security rule sets.
• Administer Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), VPN, MFA and proxy solutions.
• Support endpoint security platforms including EDR, DLP and antivirus solutions.
• Investigate security incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and produce incident reports.
• Review security logs, alerts and operational events for anomalies.
• Assist with audit, compliance and security governance requirements.
• Execute security hardening, vulnerability remediation and DR readiness activities.
• Prepare technical documentation, SOPs and operational reports.

Required profile

• 4–10 years of experience in IT security operations supporting enterprise environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident response capabilities.
• Relevant certifications such as Check Point (CCSA/CCSE), Palo Alto (PCNSA/PCNSE), Fortinet NSE, CompTIA Security+ or similar.
