SecOps Security Engineer (L2/L3) – Network & Security Operations

About the role

NorthBay Solutions is seeking a Senior Security Engineer (L2/L3) to join its 24x7 Security Operations Center. The role focuses on protecting enterprise networks and endpoints using leading‑edge security technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, configure and troubleshoot Check Point, Palo Alto, and Fortinet firewalls.
• Implement and review firewall policies, ACLs, NAT, and security rules.
• Administer Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), VPN, MFA, and proxy solutions.
• Support endpoint protection platforms including EDR, DLP, and antivirus.
• Investigate security incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and produce incident reports.
• Review security logs, alerts and operational events for anomalies.
• Assist with audit, compliance and security governance activities.
• Execute hardening, vulnerability remediation and ITSM processes (incident, change, problem management).
• Prepare technical documentation, SOPs and operational reports.
• Participate in disaster‑recovery testing and readiness exercises.

Required profile

• 4–10 years of experience in IT security operations supporting enterprise environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident‑response capabilities.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise firewalls, WAF/IPS, VPN, MFA and endpoint security tools.
• Familiarity with security hardening, vulnerability management and ITSM workflows.
