Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Senior Accountant to manage daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. The role involves handling accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, and tax compliance within a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting tasks including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing processes, reviewing journal entries and reconciliations for accuracy.
• Process vendor payments, reimbursements and maintain payment schedules.
• Monitor cash flow, support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Handle payroll processing and related accounting entries.
• Prepare and submit monthly Withholding Tax (WHT) returns and ensure timely tax deposits per FBR regulations.
• File Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) sales tax returns with complete documentation.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks and regulatory authorities.
• Maintain accounting records, support audits and strengthen internal financial controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation and financial reporting.
• Hands‑on experience with monthly WHT filing, FBR portal and SRB sales tax filing.
• High attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
