Senior Accountant

About the role

8 Figure Finance is a fully remote outsourced accounting firm that delivers month‑end close, AR/AP management and financial reporting for growing businesses. As a Senior Accountant you will own the close for a portfolio of clients, mentor accountants in your pod and help improve processes.

Key responsibilities

• Own month‑end close for assigned clients, delivering reconciliations and financial statements by the 10th business day.
• Manage client AR/AP workflows using the company’s technology stack, from bill capture to invoicing and collections.
• Handle complex accounting tasks such as accrual conversions, revenue recognition, fixed‑asset accounting and debt tracking.
• Review and approve work of junior accountants, providing feedback and ensuring accuracy.
• Maintain and update client SOPs as processes evolve.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of US accounting experience, preferably in public or outsourced environments.
• Hands‑on experience owning month‑end close for multiple entities.
• Strong analytical mindset, able to question numbers and improve processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Desire to grow into a leadership role such as Project Lead.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Xero.
• Experience with AR/AP automation platforms.
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.
