Senior Accountant – Remote, Full‑Cycle Bookkeeping

About the role

UpCounting is looking for a Senior Accountant to support eCommerce founders with accurate, reliable financial reporting. This fully remote position offers the chance to work with a global, tech‑forward team that values autonomy and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle bookkeeping for multiple clients, including reconciliations, A/P, A/R, journal entries, and ledger maintenance.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end close processes, prepare schedules, and deliver error‑free financial statements.
• Record payroll entries, prepaids, and accruals consistently.
• Handle sales tax filings, remittances, and compliance across various jurisdictions.
• Identify automation opportunities and propose workflow enhancements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a firm or multi‑client environment.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Detail‑oriented, reliable, and able to work independently.
• Accredited or pursuing ACCA qualification.

Required skills

• High proficiency in QuickBooks Online (certification a plus).
• ACCA accreditation or equivalent.
