Senior Accountant – Trust & Property Management

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead trust and property‑management accounting for multiple short‑term and long‑term rental clients. The role combines oversight of bookkeeping teams, client relationship management, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and trust‑accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee bookkeeping and trust accounting for several property‑management clients.
• Review and finalize reconciliations, journal entries, and reports prepared by junior and mid‑level bookkeepers.
• Handle complex transactions, clearing account issues, accruals, and adjustments.
• Lead client communications, address reporting requirements, queries, and escalations.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate junior staff and bookkeepers, providing feedback and training.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, trust‑accounting rules, and client contracts.
• Drive process improvements, develop SOPs, and support system integrations (QBO, Get Clearing, VR Platform).
• Provide advanced financial insights and reporting to clients.
• Collaborate with management on scaling operations and workflow automation.

Required profile

• ACCA or CA qualification (finalists strongly preferred).
• 4–6+ years of progressive bookkeeping/accounting experience with supervisory exposure.
• Strong expertise in trust accounting and U.S. property‑management practices.
• Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online and experience with U.S. payments processing, expense‑management and document‑processing software.
• Excellent leadership, problem‑solving and client‑relationship skills.
• Ability to manage multiple portfolios and deliver high‑quality results under tight deadlines.
