Senior Associate – Corporate and Syndication Loans

About the role

The Senior Associate will support corporate and syndication loan operations within Mashreq’s Global Network in Pakistan. The role ensures end‑to‑end accuracy of credit proposals, loan disbursements, repayment schedules and compliance with wholesale credit policies, trade finance and supply‑chain products.

Key responsibilities

• Review credit proposals and agreements, verify drawdown requests and calculate facility fees, interest, VAT, penalties and charitable contributions.
• Prepare and validate repayment schedules, ensuring correct accrual of income and charge components in line with accounting standards and APPM.
• Execute SWIFT and UAEFT payments without errors and support related UAT activities.
• Track post‑disbursement credit terms, report breaches promptly and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve exceptions.
• Perform daily reconciliations across multiple banking systems (Flex, CBS, Nostro/Vostro, internal accounts) and publish status updates.
• Develop and maintain controlled platforms to guarantee timely, error‑free processing and escalation of delayed items.
• Conduct EDD and compliance screening on trade documents and ensure adherence to trade‑cycle procedures.
• Prevent revenue leakage by ensuring full charge collection and zero outstanding reconciliation entries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 4–7 years of experience in corporate working capital and trade‑finance loan facilities.
• Proven ability to handle multiple system UATs, BRD preparation and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on error‑free processing and stakeholder coordination.
