Senior Audit Officer

About the role

The Senior Audit Officer will lead the internal audit function across the Head Office and plant/site locations, ensuring compliance with regulations and improving the efficiency of financial, operational and managerial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement an organization‑wide internal audit strategy aligned with Ingredion corporate objectives.
• Lead and manage complex, multi‑disciplinary audits, overseeing planning, scheduling, quality review and reporting.
• Coordinate the Enterprise Risk Management framework, maintain the Risk Register and provide updates to senior leadership.
• Ensure a robust internal control environment is established, implemented and maintained at all levels.
• Prepare concise audit reports in English and maintain comprehensive audit work papers.
• Represent Internal Audit on cross‑functional project teams and management meetings.
• Apply the Internal Audit Manual and professional standards to all audit activities.
• Facilitate the annual risk assessment, develop the Annual Audit Plan and support master audit program development.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in internal audit, risk management and internal controls.
• Proven ability to lead and manage audit teams and complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of audit standards, professional methodologies and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written communication skills in English for reporting to all management levels.
