Senior Auditor, Operations – Shared Services Audit

About the role

Lead and execute risk‑based operations and regulatory audits across the bank, focusing on Operations Risk Management, third‑party risk, AML and sanctions compliance, and meeting regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute risk‑based audits, investigations and thematic reviews across operations domains, evaluating control design and effectiveness.
• Provide independent assurance over AML, sanctions, third‑party risk and ORM frameworks, assess compliance with CBUAE and international regulations, and support regulatory engagements.
• Perform end‑to‑end risk assessments, leverage audit analytics, continuous auditing tools and RegTech to enhance coverage and identify emerging risks.
• Engage with heads of business units and risk teams to drive remediation, influence stakeholders on action plans and support process improvement initiatives.
• Prepare high‑quality audit reports for senior management and, when required, support board reporting.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in operations or internal audit within banking.
• Strong exposure to AML, sanctions, ORM and regulatory compliance audits, preferably with CBUAE or similar frameworks.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, ACAMS or CISA are preferred.
• Excellent analytical, stakeholder management and communication skills.
