Senior Bookkeeper – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Bookkeeper / Accounting Operations Specialist to manage our financial records and support accounting processes. The role is fully remote and requires strong Xero, Excel and Google Sheets expertise, as well as the ability to handle confidential financial information independently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations across 10+ bank, credit‑card, HubSpot and accounting accounts.
• Track vendor and customer payments, including domestic, international and foreign‑currency transactions via platforms such as Convera GlobalPay.
• Monitor trip profitability, prepare expense and financial reports, and maintain vendor variance reports.
• Keep HubSpot deal stages and booking information up to date and reconcile them with Xero.
• Build and maintain Excel and Google Sheets dashboards, using formulas, pivot tables and data validation to automate reporting.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting operations or financial analysis.
• Advanced proficiency with Xero for reconciliation, expense coding and reporting.
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, pivot tables, data validation).
• Experience handling international payments and foreign‑currency transactions.
• Fluent English with excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently during U.S. Eastern business hours.
