Senior Construction Manager

About the role

Zarrar & Co. is looking for a Senior Construction Manager in Lahore. The role carries hands-on responsibility for supervising site execution and project supervision, including landscaping, park development, outdoor construction and themed projects with natural or organic finishes where applicable. It involves close collaboration with site engineers, QA/QC teams, contractors, subcontractors and consultants to maintain high quality, document daily progress and resolve technical issues.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily site construction activities in line with project plans and contractual requirements.
• Monitor work against approved drawings, bills of quantities and technical specifications.
• Plan, organise and monitor project schedules to meet deadlines within budget.
• Coordinate with site engineers, surveyors, QA/QC teams, contractors, subcontractors and consultants.
• Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to check workmanship and safety compliance.
• Manage manpower, materials, machinery and site resources efficiently.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly progress reports covering work done, resource use and cost tracking.
• Identify and troubleshoot site issues, escalate critical concerns, and report delays, shortages and risks to the Project Manager or Project Director.
• Control costs by tracking material consumption, labour hours and site expenses, and review quantities against bills of quantities.
• Oversee coordination among civil, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and finishing teams.
• Supervise landscaping, park development, outdoor projects and themed construction with natural or organic finishes.
• Maintain site records such as inspection reports, material requests and correspondence.
• Ensure contractors and subcontractors follow approved plans, contracts and quality requirements.
• Lead, mentor and manage a team of 40 personnel.
