Senior Consultant / Assistant Manager – Financial Reporting & IFRS Advisory

About the role

EY’s FAAS practice is expanding rapidly and seeks a Senior Consultant / Assistant Manager to support large‑scale engagements across the MENA region. The role will be based in the Rapid Innovations Center of Excellence and will involve IFRS advisory, M&A, carve‑outs, capital markets transactions and IPO support.

Key responsibilities

• Execute IFRS advisory engagements, including technical accounting on business combinations, consolidations, IFRS conversions and development of finance policies.
• Assist clients throughout the IPO journey – readiness assessments, execution, remediation workstreams and project management.
• Prepare financial statements, carve‑out financials and accounting memos or whitepapers.
• Collaborate with EY locations, service lines and specialists to deliver integrated solutions.
• Support business development by drafting proposals, pitch materials and service methodologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA / CA / ACCA certification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a consulting firm, preferably Big 4, within audit or accounting advisory.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel within the Middle East on short notice.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS and other financial reporting standards.
• Experience preparing financial statements and developing accounting policies and procedures.
• Technical accounting advisory on complex matters such as business combinations and consolidations.
