Senior Finance Executive – Ireland

About the role

The Senior Finance Executive will be the operational owner of the Ireland accounts function, ensuring every transaction recorded by the bookkeeping team is accurate, evidence‑based and audit‑ready. This role blends hands‑on financial oversight with control design, management reporting and system coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Validate vouchers, journal entries and supporting documentation for IFRS compliance.
• Produce regular management and financial reports, track KPIs and flag deviations.
• Oversee the outsourced bookkeeping team, review output and enforce documentation standards.
• Co‑design and implement financial controls for vendor payments, reconciliations and month‑end close.
• Coordinate finance system enhancements, participate in User Acceptance Testing and document process improvements.
• Act as the primary liaison for the Group Financial Controller, ensuring documentation standards and reporting deadlines are met.

Required profile

• CA finalist, ACCA or CMA qualified.
• 3–5 years of finance or accounting experience, preferably with an Irish privately held entity.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and experience supervising a team.
• Detail‑oriented, evidence‑based record‑keeping approach.
• Effective communicator able to manage outsourced and remote teams.
