Senior Full Stack Engineer - EMEA

About the role

Deel is an all-in-one payroll and HR platform for global teams, combining HRIS, payroll, compliance, benefits, performance and equipment management. The Senior Full Stack Engineer designs, develops and maintains both the front-end and back-end of the platform, working with Product, Design and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop responsive web applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, React and Express
• Design and implement server-side APIs, data models and business logic with Express
• Create client-side React components, hooks, stories and tests
• Create and optimize database schemas, queries and Postgres interactions
• Build reusable, modular front-end and back-end components
• Test, debug and troubleshoot applications thoroughly
• Stay current with web development trends and recommend improvements
• Take part in code reviews and share project progress with stakeholders

Required profile

• At least 8 years of full-stack experience, focused on TypeScript
• Expertise in designing, coding, testing and maintaining applications with the listed technologies
• Thrives in a collaborative, remote-first culture and takes ownership of projects
• Communicates complex ideas clearly and enjoys working with technical and non-technical teams
• Business-focused, detail-oriented and customer-experience driven

Required skills

• TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Express
• NestJS, Vite and Next.js are a plus
• Postgres
• Extra advantage: SaaS experience on a major cloud vendor, RESTful APIs, microservices, asynchronous programming, Jest/Mocha/Chai/Storybook/Cypress, Docker and Kubernetes
