Senior LogicMonitor Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced LogicMonitor Engineer to lead enterprise‑wide monitoring transformations, especially migrations from SolarWinds to LogicMonitor. The role requires deep hands‑on expertise in LogicMonitor administration, collector deployment, and integration with ITSM platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the existing SolarWinds environment (NPM, SAM, SRM, VMAN) and map configurations to LogicMonitor.
• Plan and execute migration architecture, including collector high availability, failover, and bulk device onboarding via CSV and REST APIs.
• Deploy and configure LogicMonitor collectors, device groups, DataSources, LogicModules, dashboards, alert rules, thresholds, and notification policies.
• Implement monitoring for Windows, Linux, AIX, VMware, Hyper‑V, network devices, storage systems, and enterprise applications using SNMP, WMI, SSH, WinRM and REST APIs.
• Integrate LogicMonitor with ServiceNow or other ITSM tools for automated incident creation and escalation.
• Produce technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge‑transfer materials and coordinate with stakeholders for smooth production cut‑over.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of IT monitoring experience with at least 2 years of hands‑on LogicMonitor work.
• Strong practical knowledge of SolarWinds Orion (NPM, SAM, SRM, VMAN) and enterprise monitoring migrations.
• Experience supporting US‑based enterprise customers and large‑scale monitoring transformations.

• Monitoring of Windows, Linux, AIX, VMware, Hyper‑V, network devices, storage platforms, and applications.
• Integration with ServiceNow or similar ITSM solutions.
• Scripting/automation: PowerShell, Python, REST API automation.
• Additional knowledge: NetFlow, syslog, network configuration monitoring.
