Senior Manager - Sanctions Compliance

About the role

The Senior Manager – Sanctions Compliance leads governance and oversight within the Sanctions and Financial Institution Compliance department, ensuring robust frameworks, risk management and transparent reporting across global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive compliance governance framework aligned with global best practices and local regulations.
• Lead enterprise‑wide oversight programmes, including thematic reviews, control testing and risk assessments.
• Prepare high‑quality regulatory and internal reports for senior management, boards and regulators.
• Manage compliance committees, coordinating agendas, minutes and action tracking.
• Conduct quality‑control reviews of investigations, screening decisions and policy adherence.
• Oversee the lifecycle of compliance policies, ensuring harmonisation and regular refresh.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration or related field; advanced degree or certifications (ICA, CAMS, CRCM, CCEP) preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in compliance, governance or risk management within financial services, with global or regional oversight responsibilities.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of global regulatory frameworks and governance principles.
• Familiarity with governance technology platforms and data‑analytics tools.
