Senior Mechanical Maintenance Officer

About the role

The Senior Mechanical Maintenance Officer will ensure optimal operation and reliability of mechanical equipment at the Bulk Oil Terminal. The role involves thorough inspections, preventive, predictive, corrective and breakdown maintenance of rotating and static equipment, piping, and valves. It requires strict adherence to company standards and safety protocols to minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive, predictive, corrective and breakdown maintenance of all mechanical assets, including storage tanks, pipelines, pumps, loading arms, gensets and related equipment.
• Inspect and maintain tank accessories such as nozzles, vents, breather valves, and truck loading/decanting gantries.
• Monitor equipment condition, identify abnormalities and initiate corrective actions to avoid failures.
• Prepare job scopes, budget estimates, BOQs, RFQs, technical specifications and drawings for maintenance and modification works.
• Supervise vendor/contractor jobs, ensuring compliance with scope, quality, safety procedures and schedules.
• Maintain equipment history, preventive maintenance records, inspection checklists and technical documentation in the Document Control System.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of mechanical maintenance experience in the petroleum or related industrial sector.
• Strong hands‑on background with rotating and static equipment, piping and valve systems.
• Ability to coordinate with operations and user departments for equipment isolation and safe execution of maintenance tasks.

Required skills

• Preventive, predictive, corrective and breakdown maintenance techniques.
• Inspection and condition monitoring of mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of PTW (Permit to Work), LOTO (Lock‑out/Tag‑out), hot‑work and confined‑space safety procedures.
• Preparation of technical specifications, BOQs and RFQs.
