Senior Medical Officer (Cardiac)

About the role
The Senior Medical Officer (Cardiac) will lead the delivery of acute and chronic cardiovascular care within a multidisciplinary hospital environment. This role involves direct patient management across inpatient, emergency, and intensive care settings, ensuring high‑quality clinical outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Manage acute and chronic cardiovascular and general medical patients.
- Provide patient care in IPD, Emergency Department, and CCU.
- Interpret ECGs, echocardiograms, and other cardiac investigations.
- Respond to cardiac emergencies and support critical‑care interventions.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and treatment plans.
- Participate in ward rounds with consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure smooth patient handovers between shifts.
- Deliver on‑call coverage according to the schedule.
- Promote clinical excellence, teamwork, and patient safety.
Required profile
- MBBS with valid PMDC registration.
- FCPS Part II cleared or completed training in Cardiology.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in Cardiology, CCU, or Emergency Medicine.
- ACLS and BLS certification preferred.
- Strong communication, clinical decision‑making, and teamwork abilities.
