About the role
The Aga Khan University Hospital’s Outreach Services provide primary to secondary healthcare across several cities in Pakistan. The Senior Medical Officer will work in Family Medicine clinics, delivering comprehensive care to children, adults, and elderly patients, including health checks and disease‑specific consultations.
Key responsibilities
- Attend patients visiting clinics, perform physical examinations, investigations, diagnose and treat common ailments.
- Document findings and communicate treatment plans to patients and their families.
- Prescribe appropriate medication.
- Educate patients on preventive measures to avoid recurrence of medical problems.
- Stay updated on infection‑control procedures and adhere to them.
Required profile
- MBBS degree; a Diploma (MCPS) or other additional qualification is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience for MBBS holders, or at least 3 years for diploma/MCPS holders.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
