Senior Network Architect – Enterprise & Data Center

About the role

The Network Architect will design, implement, and optimise enterprise and data‑center network infrastructures, ensuring resilient, scalable and secure connectivity for critical business platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect LAN, WAN, campus, mobile private (LTE/5G) and backbone networks, defining standards and reference architectures.
• Lead implementation and migration projects using Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, ISE and related technologies.
• Plan and deploy WAN, MPLS, SD‑WAN, VPN and wireless solutions to connect sites, partners and external services.
• Ensure network availability and performance through capacity planning, optimisation and proactive monitoring.
• Configure network services such as VLANs, QoS, multicast, redundancy protocols and link aggregation.
• Integrate load balancers (e.g., F5 BIG‑IP) and support high‑availability application delivery.
• Collaborate with security, cloud and application teams to embed segmentation and secure connectivity.
• Produce high‑quality HLD, LLD and MOP documentation and validate designs from internal and external teams.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and mentor junior network engineers.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for circuit provisioning, escalations and solution design.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10–15 years of experience in enterprise/network engineering roles.
• Proven experience designing and operating large‑scale WAN, data‑center and mobile networks.
• Strong client‑facing and collaboration skills with project managers and operations teams.

Required skills

• TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP.
• Layer‑2 technologies: VLAN, STP variants, EtherChannel.
• Cisco Catalyst, Nexus platforms and Cisco ISE.
• Wireless, SD‑WAN, MPLS, VPN, LTE and 5G mobile private networks.
• Load balancing (F5 BIG‑IP), QoS, multicast, redundancy protocols.
• Network capacity planning, performance optimisation and proactive monitoring.
• Automation integration with CI/CD pipelines.
