Senior System & Network Engineer (Level 2)

About the role

The client seeks a proactive Senior System & Network Engineer (Level 2) to manage, maintain and optimise a hybrid corporate infrastructure across multiple global sites. You will ensure reliability, performance and security of on‑premise and cloud services while supporting high availability and business continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Azure AD and hybrid infrastructure components.
• Maintain Domain Controllers, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies and backup solutions (Veeam, Azure backups).
• Manage VMware vSphere environments, storage area networks and server provisioning for Windows and Linux.
• Monitor systems with Zabbix and oversee AX‑D365, ADFS and MFA integrations.
• Configure and support Fortinet firewalls, SSL VPNs, site‑to‑site VPNs and FortiAnalyzer reporting.
• Administer Cisco switches, Ruckus SmartZone and Ruckus APs, and optimise SD‑WAN connectivity.
• Handle cloud subscriptions, SSL certificates, domain renewals and license compliance.
• Perform network topology updates, VLAN, IP address management and periodic performance audits.
• Implement Azure resource management, security policies, endpoint protection and disaster‑recovery simulations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in systems and network administration within a global, hybrid environment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, VMware, Fortinet and Cisco technologies.
• Proven ability to design, monitor and secure complex infrastructures.
• Hands‑on experience with backup, monitoring and disaster‑recovery processes.
