Senior Windows Engineer

About the role

The Senior Windows Engineer designs and delivers enterprise‑wide Windows platform solutions for large, mission‑critical environments. The role focuses on building reusable, automated capabilities that serve Windows System Administration and infrastructure teams, spanning on‑premises, hybrid, cloud, virtualization, and container landscapes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, standardize, and develop scalable Windows platform solutions across the enterprise.
• Create and maintain automated Windows build pipelines, including SCCM‑based deployments.
• Produce and manage bare‑metal, virtual, and container Golden Images for diverse use cases.
• Engineer Windows OS builds on VMware and Red Hat OpenShift, supporting virtual hosts and containers.
• Define and enforce Windows Server standards, security frameworks, and performance‑tuning guidelines.
• Implement and manage Active Directory, DNS, GPOs, and integration with Entra ID.
• Develop monitoring, configuration‑management, and automated rollback mechanisms.
• Automate firmware patching for Dell and HPE hardware and integrate logging with SIEM platforms.
• Lead Level‑3 incident escalation, root‑cause analysis, and collaboration with BAU, DevOps, Architecture, and Security teams.

Required profile

• Extensive experience (5+ years) designing and operating Windows platforms at enterprise scale.
• Strong background in automation, scripting, and infrastructure‑as‑code practices.
• Proven ability to work across on‑premises, cloud, and container environments.
• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams to define standards and future‑state solutions.
