Site Survey Engineer / Survey Officer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Site Survey Engineer or Survey Officer to conduct on‑site inspections for fire, machinery breakdown, and marine claims. The role involves independent field visits, detailed documentation, and professional reporting to support insurance assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on‑site surveys and inspections for fire losses, machinery breakdowns, marine cargo, and transport‑related claims.
• Inspect damaged property, equipment, stock, cargo, buildings, warehouses, factories, and commercial premises.
• Record observations, capture photographs, collect statements, and gather supporting documents.
• Analyze the cause and extent of loss/damage based on field findings.
• Coordinate with clients, insurers, insured parties, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare comprehensive survey reports that include observations, findings, cause of loss, damage extent, photographs, and evidence.
• Maintain accurate case documentation and records.

Required profile

• BSc Engineering degree or Diploma in an engineering/technical field.
• Prior experience in on‑site surveys, insurance claims, loss assessment, or related technical fieldwork.
• Strong technical understanding of machinery, equipment, fire‑related damage, industrial operations, and marine/transport losses.
• Proficiency in writing professional survey reports in English.
• Ability to conduct field visits independently.
• Good communication, observation, documentation, and analytical abilities.
