Social Media Assistant – Content Creation & Scheduling

About the role

We are seeking a creative, organised and detail‑focused Social Media Assistant to produce, edit and schedule engaging content across our social channels. The ideal candidate will have excellent written English, a good eye for design and the ability to turn scripts, briefs and existing material into compelling posts that support our business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Write clear, engaging captions for social media posts.
• Edit videos for social platforms, including trimming, adding text/captions and formatting for each channel.
• Create graphics using Canva or similar design tools.
• Schedule and publish posts using tools such as SocialPilot.
• Proofread all captions, graphics and posts before publishing.
• Follow brand guidelines and incorporate provided keywords and SEO guidance.
• Repurpose blogs, scripts and marketing materials into social media content.
• Perform basic website content updates, such as uploading and editing blog posts.
• Use AI tools responsibly to generate ideas, captions and assist with proofreading, ensuring final content is human‑reviewed.
• Support additional marketing and administrative tasks as business needs evolve.

Required skills

• Video editing for social media.
• Canva or similar graphic design tool.

• Excellent written English and strong proofreading ability.
• Basic knowledge of WordPress or similar website platforms.
• Basic understanding of SEO and keyword usage.
• Experience using AI tools for content creation and caption generation.
• Knowledge of hashtags, social media trends and basic performance analysis.
