Software Engineer – BI Specialist (Power BI)

About the role

Habib Bank AG Zurich is looking for a Software Engineer – BI Specialist to support the PMO and executive reporting functions. The role will design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards that enable accurate MIS reporting and data‑driven decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards for PMO and executive reporting.
• Ensure timely MIS reporting with high data accuracy and consistency.
• Extract, transform, and model data from SQL databases and other enterprise sources.
• Build data models, DAX calculations and optimized reporting datasets.
• Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with project managers and development teams to track project milestones, change‑request progress, KPIs and performance metrics.
• Manage and support the change‑request lifecycle, including documentation, approvals and tracking.
• Align reports with PMO governance and audit requirements.
• Prepare and maintain dashboards, KPI packs and executive reporting packs.
• Support governance reviews and respond to regulatory or audit inquiries.
• Contribute to Agile delivery by providing sprint and release reporting.

Required profile

• 4‑year Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science (minimum 3.0 CGPA) from a reputable university.
• 1–3 years of experience in Business Intelligence, reporting, or PMO‑related analytics.
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (or equivalent certification).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Experience in banking or regulated environments is a strong advantage.
