Subject Lead – Chemistry

About the role

The Subject Lead – Chemistry will drive student competency in Chemistry, oversee board exam preparation and university admission test readiness over a two‑year student journey. This role leads continuous improvement and owns the performance of subject teachers and college students.

Key responsibilities

• Design curriculum outlines, brief teachers, and ensure timely course coverage.
• Prepare lesson plans, devise monthly, mid‑term and preliminary examination papers.
• Source and finalize classroom material, compile resources with other subject teachers.
• Lead weekly teacher meetings, standardise lectures, and conduct classroom observations.
• Prepare progress reports for the Academic Manager and devise remedial plans for weak students.

Required profile

• BS/M.Sc/M.Phil or equivalent relevant qualification.
• 3‑5 years of relevant experience, preferably in colleges affiliated with FBISE/AKU‑EB.
• Strong work ethic, administrative ability and alignment with college culture.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Google Docs.
• Experience with LMS platforms such as Moodle and Google Classroom.
• Familiarity with ECAT/MDCAT program requirements.
