Systems & Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

IBL-Unisys is seeking a Systems & Infrastructure Engineer to lead end‑to‑end hardware and infrastructure implementations for its clients in Karachi. The role involves designing, installing, and configuring solutions that meet project scopes and customer requirements while ensuring high availability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle hardware and infrastructure implementation activities.
• Design, install, and perform post‑implementation configurations aligned with customer needs.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to KPIs.
• Configure and manage hardware, storage, and network devices.
• Oversee hardware, software, configurations, and system updates for assigned projects.
• Maintain SLA compliance for all infrastructure‑related services.
• Monitor, respond to, and log service requests on OEM and distributor portals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
• Identify gaps in support processes and proactively improve operational efficiency.
• Design, implement, and maintain VMware environments, including vSphere, vCenter, and VDI platforms.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in infrastructure and systems engineering.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Relevant certifications or vendor‑specific accreditations are preferred.

Required skills

• VMware, vSphere, vCenter, VDI platforms.
• Enterprise hardware from Dell EMC, Huawei, HP, and Cisco.
• Deployment and administration of enterprise‑class servers, storage systems, and backup/recovery appliances.
• Configuration and management of network devices.
