TAC Engineer Level 1 – Technical Support

About the role

Cybernet is seeking motivated individuals to join its Managed Services team as a Level‑1 TAC Engineer. In this role you will provide first‑line technical support to corporate clients, ensuring swift resolution of network and connectivity issues.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to diverse technical queries via phone and email, maintaining high service standards.
• Troubleshoot CPE devices such as routers and switches and diagnose connectivity problems across DSL, VSAT, Fiber, WiMAX, GPON and RF technologies.
• Log, track and close incident tickets while communicating clearly with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Network Operations, Engineering and Fiber Optics teams to escalate and resolve last‑mile issues.
• Monitor network performance proactively and participate in training and team meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Networking, Computer Engineering or Computer Science (minimum CGPA 3.0).
• CCNA training or certification preferred.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with 1‑2 years of relevant experience.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of OSI layers, TCP/IP, switching and routing fundamentals.
• Proficiency with Linux and virtual machine environments.
• Basic knowledge of network security principles.
• Familiarity with email protocols (SMTP, IMAP, POP3) and internet services (DNS, DHCP).
• Solid troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
