Talent Acquisition/Recruitment Lead

About the role

Mercans seeks a Talent Acquisition Lead who will elevate candidate quality and accelerate hiring through a technology‑first, AI‑driven engine. The role is fully remote and reports to the Global HR Manager, overseeing end‑to‑end recruitment for the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Set and enforce evidence‑based screening standards, using AI tools to rank candidates and improve quality‑of‑hire metrics.
• Run an AI‑first sourcing pipeline with automated outreach, scheduling and follow‑up to keep time‑to‑fill low.
• Build multi‑channel talent pipelines via LinkedIn, social media, talent communities and creative campaigns.
• Assign a single owner and recovery plan to every requisition, clearing the aging backlog within 60 days.
• Lead a small high‑leverage recruiting team, coaching technique, driving tool adoption and managing performance.
• Co‑own TA strategy, workforce planning and the AI/automation roadmap, including tool evaluation and budgeting.
• Maintain real‑time dashboards on time‑to‑fill, pipeline health, quality‑of‑hire and offer acceptance, ensuring compliance with employment law.

Required profile

• 8+ years in talent acquisition or recruiting with progressive leadership responsibility.
• 2+ years leading recruiters and managing performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration or related field.
• Proven success using AI‑powered recruiting tools and social‑media sourcing.
• Strong communication skills and ability to act as escalation point for candidates and hiring managers.
