Team Lead Electrical & Instrumentation

About the role

The Team Lead Electrical & Instrumentation is responsible for overseeing all electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities within a plant environment. This hands‑on technical leader ensures equipment reliability, plant safety and minimal downtime while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance for electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Lead troubleshooting of breakdowns involving PLCs, DCS, SCADA and field instruments to restore equipment promptly.
• Supervise repairs, component restoration and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Oversee calibration and health checks of flow, pressure, temperature and level instruments.
• Close work orders and maintenance notifications in SAP, maintaining accurate logs and spare‑part consumption records.
• Prepare O&M manuals, checklists and audit documentation for ISO compliance.
• Mentor and assign daily tasks to the internal and third‑party E&I maintenance team.
• Coordinate shutdowns and maintenance schedules with Production and Planning.
• Monitor contractor performance, PTW compliance and safety during execution.
• Drive reliability improvement through root‑cause analysis, One‑Point Lessons, KAIZEN and other continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Track and improve KPIs such as MTTR, MTBF, breakdown frequency and work‑order compliance.

Required profile

• BSc/B.E. in Electrical/Electronics or related field.
• 2‑3 years of relevant experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance.
• Proven ability to lead a technical team and manage third‑party contractors.

Required skills

• PLC, DCS and SCADA troubleshooting.
• Instrument calibration (flow, pressure, temperature, level).
• Preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance planning.
• SAP for work‑order management.
• Root‑cause analysis (RCA) and continuous‑improvement methodologies (KAIZEN, OPLs).
