Team Lead Production

About the role

The Production Team Lead will oversee the workforce on manufacturing lines, ensuring that skilled and unskilled staff are available according to production schedules. This role bridges operations and administration, driving efficiency, quality, and cost‑saving initiatives in a fast‑moving consumer goods environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and guarantee the availability of workers on production lines, coordinating with administration when gaps arise.
• Visit plants to assess worker productivity and manage rotation to optimise manpower usage.
• Guide staff on standard operating procedures, quality standards, food safety and hygiene, and traceability requirements.
• Train new hires on processes, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Track and report wastage, crumb generation, machine downtime, and resource utilisation via SAP on a daily basis.
• Analyse production data to identify improvement opportunities, implement waste‑reduction measures, and propose cost‑saving solutions.
• Collaborate with supervisors to incorporate feedback and ensure continuous process enhancement.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in FMCG production.
• Strong understanding of production scheduling, workforce management, and quality control.
• Ability to communicate clearly with plant staff and administrative teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP for reporting and data entry.
