Territory Sales Manager

About the role

The Territory Sales Manager will lead the development and execution of a strategic sales plan for defined market segments, focusing on dry‑food categories such as D&T and S&C. The role aims to exceed monthly, quarterly and annual targets while expanding the product basket in customer accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve and surpass sales targets.
• Drive incremental sales by adding high‑margin dry‑food articles to customer baskets.
• Conduct pre‑visit analysis of sales trends and perform gap analysis after each visit.
• Maintain up‑to‑date market and competitor intelligence to adapt strategy.
• Define objectives and action plans for each customer.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (procurement, operations) to create customized solutions.
• Record detailed notes and track customer development progress.
• Prepare feasibility studies and weekly planning aligned with portfolio priorities.
• Participate in team meetings, sales training and contribute to a high‑performance culture.
• Monitor KPIs such as turnover, margin and purchase frequency.
• Organise follow‑up of customer commitments via visits or phone.

Required profile

• Proven ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
• Experience driving incremental sales in dry‑food or similar retail categories.
• Strong analytical skills for trend analysis, gap analysis and feasibility studies.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with internal cross‑functional teams.
• Detail‑oriented with ability to maintain accurate tracking sheets and notes.
