Ticketing Agent

About the role

The airline is looking for a Ticketing Agent in Karachi who will efficiently carry out the day-to-day sales and customer service of the sales shop, achieving set targets. The agent handles and directs customers' inquiries and complaints to the right channels so that customers are satisfied.

Key responsibilities

• Promote sales and customer activities such as tickets, packages, holidays, visas, insurance and car rental, following the supervisor's guidance and company policies.
• Process reservations, travel bookings and modifications for walk-in and calling customers and agents, issue tickets and finalize travel arrangements through the system.
• Sell ancillaries, insurance, holiday packages, visas and air rewards, educate customers on promotions and campaigns, and refer them to specialized staff when needed.
• Follow up on updates and new products or systems to stay up to date on company services.
• Contact current and potential customers to recover and grow sales, and take part in outdoor promotions and sales blitzes.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and complaints received by visit, call or email, and inform customers of flight changes such as delays and cancellations.
• Process and monitor visa applications and cancellations in line with airline policy.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred in Tourism or Management; additional qualification in Aviation, IATA or Tourism is a plus.
• At least 1 year of counter ticketing sales experience in a customer service industry, preferably travel, airline or tourism.
• Good knowledge of airline and travel products and services.
• Good English and Urdu.
• Ability to handle angry customers, complaints and special requests, and to recommend alternative solutions.
• Ability to work long hours and under pressure.

• Effective communication, persuasion, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
