Trainee Supply Chain Engineer

About the role

Avanceon is seeking a Trainee Supply Chain Engineer to support its procurement and logistics functions across its regional operations. The role offers a hands‑on introduction to sourcing, supplier management and supply‑chain risk mitigation, helping the company deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams to understand technical specifications and quality requirements.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, terms and delivery schedules.
• Identify, evaluate and onboard new suppliers aligned with business needs.
• Execute procurement activities following company policies, including participation in commercial negotiations.
• Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues and manage contract variations.
• Identify and mitigate supply‑chain risks, and generate procurement and contract reports.
• Manage urgent project deliverables while maintaining cost, quality and schedule commitments.
• Evaluate vendor performance on quality, cost, financial stability and safety compliance.

Required profile

• BSc in Engineering (any discipline).
• 0–2 years of experience in supply chain, procurement or logistics.
• Strong knowledge of sourcing and procurement methodologies.
• Experience with project budgeting and cash‑flow management.
• Hands‑on experience with foreign procurement and international sourcing.
• Understanding of Incoterms and international logistics (air & sea).
• Familiarity with national logistics (road, rail, air).
• Knowledge of commercial and payment terms.
