Virtual Assistant (On-Site Night Shift)

About the role

A provider of virtual assistant teams to insurance agencies across the USA and Canada is hiring an on-site Virtual Assistant in its Karachi office. The role supports back-office operations such as certificates of insurance (COIs), ACORD forms, quoting, renewals, e-signature processing and accounting reconciliation. It is not a remote position and must cover San Francisco (Pacific Time) business hours, which is a full night shift in Pakistan; shift times move by one hour when US daylight saving time starts and ends.

Required profile

• No prior insurance experience needed, but understanding of how insurance and outsourcing work is required
• Ability to read a policy declarations page and pull key details
• Comfortable working from SOPs, checklists and ticket/email queues, with strong shift discipline
• Excellent written English for client emails and clear spoken English for calls with US/Canadian clients, carriers and policyholders
• Nice to have: any insurance-related certification or coursework, and experience in a high-volume, deadline-driven back-office role

Required skills

• Outlook/Gmail, Microsoft Teams/Zoom/Slack and shared drives
• PDF editing and fillable forms (Adobe Acrobat or similar)
• DocuSign or other e-signature platforms
• Fast, accurate data entry and quick learning of new software
• Use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to work faster and more accurately
• Basic bookkeeping and reconciliation (QuickBooks is a plus); exposure to an agency management system or CRM is a plus
