Vocal Mixing Engineer

About the role

ABS International is hiring a skilled, detail-oriented Vocal Mixing Engineer to join its Audio Production Team in Karachi, Pakistan. The position is full-time, permanent and on-site, and requires hands-on experience in vocal recording, editing, tuning, processing and mixing, especially for vocal-focused productions such as Naat and Islamic audio projects.

Key responsibilities

• Record, edit, tune, process and mix vocals to professional industry standards.
• Apply EQ, compression, de-essing, saturation, automation, reverb, delay and other audio-processing techniques.
• Identify and correct unwanted noise, clicks, pops, distortion and other audio imperfections.
• Deliver clear, natural, well-balanced and polished vocal mixes ready for production.
• Maintain organized DAW sessions, project files and audio assets.
• Manage multiple projects efficiently while meeting deadlines.
• Work closely with the Audio Production Team to achieve the desired sound and quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Vocal Mixing Engineer, Audio Engineer, Sound Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of vocal recording, editing, tuning, processing and mixing techniques.
• Good understanding of microphones, vocal recording techniques, signal flow and audio production workflows.
• A well-trained ear for vocal tone, balance, dynamics, clarity and overall sound quality.
• Excellent attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.
• Experience in Naat, Islamic audio or vocal-centric music production is an advantage.
• Must be based in Karachi and available to work on-site; remote work is not offered.

Required skills

• Proficiency in FL Studio, Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Cubase or another professional DAW.
• Updated CV and relevant audio portfolio samples demonstrating vocal mixing skills (portfolio submission is mandatory).
