Ward Coordinator

About the role

Liaquat National Hospital and Medical College is hiring a Ward Coordinator for its ward administration team. The role covers the coordination of patient movements, admissions and discharges, and the day-to-day organisation of the ward.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate patient movement between wards, the operating theatre and other clinical areas, ensuring timely and safe transfers.
• Facilitate patient admissions, discharges and surgical procedures, making sure all required documentation and clearances are completed.
• Work with surgeons, consultants, patients and attendants on patient care and discharge requirements.
• Answer patient and attendant queries.
• Maintain accurate patient files, medical records, correspondence and other documentation while keeping them confidential.
• Coordinate the discharge process and give patients and attendants complete discharge documents.
• Monitor patient billing and work with the Billing/Recovery teams on outstanding dues.
• Maintain ward inventory and ensure required supplies are available.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
