Web & eBook Content Writer

About the role

Applause Digital is looking for a skilled and versatile Web & eBook Content Writer who can create, edit and refine high-quality content across many formats, from research and writing to proofreading, formatting and preparation for publication. The position is onsite in Phase 8, DHA, Karachi, on a night shift from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, Monday to Friday. It is not primarily an SEO content writing position.

Key responsibilities

• Write engaging, well-researched content for eBooks, websites, blogs, articles, landing pages and other digital platforms.
• Research topics and turn them into clear, original, reader-friendly content.
• Develop long-form eBook content with proper structure, flow, chapter organisation and consistency.
• Write website copy adapted to the brand, industry and target audience.
• Proofread and edit content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, readability and consistency.
• Refine existing content and format it for web and eBook publishing.
• Prepare final drafts and coordinate with designers and developers when needed.
• Manage several projects to deadlines while following briefs, editorial guidelines and writing styles.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of professional content writing experience.
• Strong experience in eBook and web content writing.
• Excellent command of written English, grammar, vocabulary and sentence structure.
• Ability to write long-form and short-form content across different industries and subjects.
• Ability to adapt style, tone and language to different audiences.
• Strong storytelling and content-structuring abilities, especially for long-form and eBook projects.
• Experience preparing and formatting content for publication is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• A portfolio or writing samples showing web and/or eBook content is required.
