WordPress Developer – Build Responsive Websites

About the role

The Catalyst is looking for an experienced WordPress Developer to join its development team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining responsive, high‑performance websites using WordPress, PHP, HTML5, and CSS3.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive WordPress sites.
• Customize and create themes and plugins to meet project specifications.
• Convert UI/UX designs into functional, pixel‑perfect web pages.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
• Optimize sites for speed, SEO, security, and cross‑browser compatibility.
• Maintain and enhance existing WordPress applications.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers.
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional web development experience, primarily with WordPress.
• Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• WordPress theme and plugin development.
• PHP programming.
• HTML5 and CSS3.
• JavaScript/jQuery (plus).
• Git or other version‑control systems.
• Responsive design and cross‑browser compatibility.
• Knowledge of SEO, performance optimization, and web security best practices.
