Assistant Accountant – FinOps

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Assistant Accountant – FinOps to join our Finance Operations team in Pakistan. The role will focus on Accounts Receivable while also supporting reconciliations, reporting and day‑to‑day finance activities in collaboration with our UAE finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer contracts to ensure accurate data before invoicing.
• Prepare and issue sales invoices, adjustments and credit notes.
• Track outstanding receivables, follow up with customers and escalate overdue cases.
• Post and allocate customer payments (bank transfers, cheques, Adyen, checkout transactions) in the ERP system.
• Maintain AR aging reports and collection trackers; support AR reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly bank reconciliations and routine general‑ledger entries.
• Support month‑end close activities, including AR closing, reconciliations and reporting.
• Prepare schedules and reports for management review and audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with finance policies, internal controls and assist audit requests.
• Identify and propose process improvements to increase finance efficiency.

Required profile

• ACCA student/affiliate (preferred) or a finance/accounting graduate from a reputable university.
• 1–1.5 years of experience in accounting or finance operations, preferably with AR exposure.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (Sage preferred) and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities with high attention to detail.
• Effective communication, problem‑solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
