Assistant Manager - Scholarships

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Scholarships will oversee the end‑to‑end management of tertiary scholarship programmes, ensuring they are scalable, transparent and impactful for alumni. This role combines scholarship administration, data‑driven research, counseling, and partnership development to support student success.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and award tertiary scholarships, establishing efficient and scalable processes.
• Track and monitor academic and professional outcomes of scholarship alumni.
• Maintain and update scholarship and alumni databases.
• Conduct research to design interventions for alumni career, personality, and socio‑emotional development.
• Provide academic, career and personal counseling to alumni.
• Build and coordinate mentorship networks with volunteers.
• Support engagement with universities, sponsors and external stakeholders to create advancement opportunities.
• Assist managers and leadership in programme design, implementation, communication and strategic planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Education, HR, Business or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience in career counseling, community development, alumni affairs or a similar role.
• High ethical standards, integrity and a commitment to transparency, fairness and student‑centric decision‑making.
