Assistant Professor of Public Policy

About the role

Riphah International University is seeking an Assistant Professor of Public Policy to join its Islamabad campus. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research and service, supporting the university’s mission to foster critical thinking and informed public‑policy discourse.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Public Policy and related subjects with clarity and enthusiasm.
• Develop and update curriculum materials to reflect current trends and advancements.
• Design and supervise student research projects, theses and dissertations.
• Conduct high‑quality research and publish regularly in HEC‑recognized journals.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development and academic policy formulation.
• Carry out administrative duties such as examination coordination and student assessment.
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary research and grant proposals.
• Stay current with developments in public policy through continuous professional development and conference participation.

Required profile

• PhD in Public Policy, Governance, or a closely related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in academia, research and related administrative duties.
• At least five publications in Higher Education Commission‑recognized journals.
• Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Required skills

• Strong research methodology expertise (qualitative and quantitative analysis).
